The classic Adirondack Chair from Heron Cove Creations, Clarksville, VA, is carefully handcrafted from cypress so you can enjoy the soothing relaxation of a traditional deck chair without the maintenance of most outdoor furniture.  Our Adirondack Chair can be used indoors during the winter months and outdoors as a porch chair you will enjoy for many years.

The value of cypress is its natural resistance to rot, mildew, and insects.  Domestic cypress grows in wet swampy areas of the southern United States and is prized for its long-lasting qualities.  Like cedar, it is extremely durable and lightweight, but cypress is a harder, more durable wood.

Heron Cove Creations offers custom furniture in a natural finish. Cypress weathers to a rich silvery patina.  You can stain or paint the wood if you desire or we can apply a Tung Oil satin finish for extra durability.   We suggest you consult a specialist at your local paint or hardware store for their suggestions on the best product for your climate.

The Adirondack Side Table

The cypress side table provides the ideal mate for the Adirondack chair and footstool. Handcrafted mortise and tendon joinery allows the table to "breathe" and adjust to different temperatures and humidities. Walnut plugs enhance the appearance and provide a pleasing contrast. Center hole for umbrella upon request.

The Double Adirondack Chair

The double Adirondack chair is designed to fit two people and has extra support and bracing in the back to hold two people securely. Made of cypress and sealed with tung oil, this chair will be another piece that fits into your cypress set. The Cottage Bench

The cottage bench is perfect for extra seating or for a spot to sit while taking off your boots. Ever needed another seat just for the grand kids? Well this is the answer. Each bench is painted pine with a natural red oak seat. The legs are angled and use pegs that lock tighter with each use to provide a stronger, stable seat. The Cottage Bench comes in three sizes.

All benches are approximately 18" high.
